Hw can I track the vehicle / order?

Can someone tell me where I can track the vehicle?


I put a down on a 2016 Q3 that was ordered by a dealership. The vehicle details sheet has the Comm number, VIN, etc. I've been asking my salesperson for the vessel name, etc, but she cannot provide any info. She said she did not have any of that info, and that she would only be notified when it is coming in.


Some of the the info from the vehicle details sheet. Does it mean anything? I read somewhere that said VW and Audi uses PWL as the carrier.

gta1216....I also have gotten no help from the dealer in tracking the car and Audi's progress tracking system leaves a lot be desired. In fact that last time I got an official notice from Audi was June 24th, when my car finished production and went to the port for shipment out of Europe. Thanks to Roger looking up the ship I have been able to keep track of the progress and the car is now making it's way to the port in SoCal, scheduled to arrive on the 11th. I assume I'll get a note from Audi telling me it's arrived, which will come after I already know it's landed based on the report from the ship....and at that point it will have been a month and a half since the last official update. It's a frustrating process for anyone that likes to be informed....At least you have an ETA. I have been given nothing by the dealer.....

It SHOULD be - but it appears sadly that there are many ABSs (Audi Brand Specialists) that either do not know how to find this info (it's easily found in Audi's OMDWeb) or couldn't care less that a few of their customers want it. About 30% of new Audi owners have moderate-to-high interest in knowing the status of their new car order, whereas about 60-80% of Audi brand loyalists have this interest. This is for ordered cars, not ones picked off the lot or selected in the pipeline.

Indeed, Roger definitely has the wherewithal that our Audi dealers do NOT. Seriously, I love my salesman, he's great, but they either don't have the time or the knowledge to do all this tracking (and they probably think it's superficial and dumb - which, in fact, it may be, but is still fun).

Roger, however is the MAN. (You should start charging for your services!) He helped me along the way (and also told me when to stand down, due to my ridiculousness).

And here's a funny port story that I don't think I ever shared with you guys. My car seemed to be stalled at the port for so long, my anxiety was getting the best of me. So I looked up the port and called them. The first woman I spoke to was pretty matter-of-fact about not having any information on particular vehicles, yada yada yada....but I kept asking her questions, so I think out of frustration, she gave me the number to the Audi office at the port! Here's where the funny part begins...

The woman who answered THAT phone was clearly only accustomed to speaking to insiders. I told her I was a customer with a new car order at that port (Davisville, RI) and I wanted to know the status. You would think I had just called the FBI and inquired about the details of foreign infiltration. She was stammering and stuttering, and in between, uttering things like "We don't have that information.... ummmm, uhhhhh, you have to call your dealer, how did you get this number.....we don't deal with customers.....WHO GAVE YOU THIS NUMBER????!"

I had to laugh out loud. OMG Audi, I thought I was bad, but RELAX!!

I think Audi enjoys preserving the mystery of the new car build and delivery. And with that said...good ol' Roger is your best bet!
