Engine light - EPC

Hi all

I have a 2015 Q3, and was driving and suddenly the engine light came on along with the EPC, car lost power and I was able to get home. I took it to an authorized Audie shop and they told me the engine miss fire due to no compression on cylinder 4 and that the engine needs to be disassembled to find out what parts are broken. The Jon is going to be around 9000 - 10000 thats half of the price I bought the car and it has 51000 miles. So is just over 1000 miles to be under warranty, I’m going to take it to the dealership and see what they find but wanted to see if someone had they EPC Light came on and what Ideas you may have since 10thousand dollars job doesn’t look worth it

For 10k, I would first get a second opinion for another dealership. A check engine light can also be read at other places but this seems such a huge issue that I would want to validate it. In essence, they are saying your engine is bad and so the 10k may be just the start of costs. I would also call Audi corporate and express concerns with footing the bill for a car our of warranty by 1k miles
