Front Windshield Fogging

2015 Q3 - just started driving car - am having difficulty defogging front window during summer rain. Using front window defogger, but condensation occurring on outside of front windshield and outside of side windows (preventing viewing through sideview mirrors). Have tried different fan speeds and temperature levels, including a/c on/off.

Two things...
1) Clean the inside of your windshield with a good glass cleaner.
2) When it is not damp/humid, disable the AC by pressing the AC button sol the light is off, as the Auto climate control runs the AC compressor a lot, even if it is not that hot outside, even if you don't really need cooling. If the AC is turned off, the system has a chance to dry out the condensation that is in the system, which is what often fogs up the windows on a cooler rainy day.
