aftermarket 8inch screen that folds down

hey guys i just found a site that sells an aftermarket screen for the audi Q3 2013-2016.

the options for the screen is either 7 inches or 8 inches. it can fold down and i think the screen has a higher resolution. im currently emailing the creator finding out more info and if you guys are interested contact him via email link on his site.

price is not bad . less than $600 usd i believe. if you guys find anything else please post it here as i am just learning about this item and i am sharing it with you all.

the explanation is confusing on the site but i think android auto is stated somewhere on the bottom. so if someone can explain it better to me that would be helpful.

the unit seems to be all plug and play with all the proper harnesses and bracket.

here is the link to the site:

Looks cool for the cars without factory Nav. Not sure about android auto, but you could sync your android account to it, as it's already running android.

i was told that you can have it on factory nav screens. he also said that the stock options still work even with this installed. you should email them to verify it for yourself.

im confused to how you got that info about it not being compatible

I have not installed it yet.....I was too busy fixing my Audi S4 (thermostat, waterpump, belts, pulleys....)

I hope to get to the Q3 RSNav install in about 2 weeks...

The unit consists of the replacement touchscreen display, a plug and play wiring harness, a GPS antenna, a cellular radio antenna, a microphone, and a USB port. There are also auxiliary video and audio inputs to add front/rear view cameras, or a DVD player. The only thing I did not expect was that the SIM card slot is on the underside of the display unit, which means it must be removed if you want to change the SIM card. Also, if you have the Park Distance "Radar" option, there is an added 2 wire harness that has to be run to the back of the car (under the door sill trim) to plug-n-play connect into the CAN-Bus of the Park Distance Control Module, which is located behind the right side access cover in the cargo area.
