I just received a letter from Audi of America today stating that my 2017 Audi needs a software update. The software update will fix the issue of the brake lights not activating during emergency braking involving the use of the park brake (I assume in addition to the normal brakes?).

I received the same notice in March....it was taken care of during the initial 6 month check.

Got mine today. Frankly, I cannot imagine using an electronic parking brake for emergency stopping so I am not so anxious to have this done. But does anyone know if the software update does anything else? Thanks. ~Bob

I also got mine yesterday. Since I've made it through about 56 years of driving without having to put on the parking brake while driving, I'm thinking the odds are pretty good I can let this go until my next annual service appointment around February 2018.
