So most of you know that I love my Q but dislike only 2 things: the wheels & the excessive black plastic on the front end.
Item #1 is in process, wheels are ordered.
Item #2 is a bit more complicated, so I started with a minor modification (that can easily be undone if it doesn't work out).
Went shopping for some kind of metal or striping to brighten up all that black. Found kind of a cool mirrored/diamond effect striping that seems tough & durable, so I painstakingly striped those horrid louvers.
Photos attached, would love to get your opinions.

Definitely looks different, and I don't mean bad. I'd actually like to see a whole front end pic for completeness, but my initial take is somewhat positive ... good job! The brightening of the louvers, btw, is very much an Audi differentiator too - especially for models with different trim levels, so even on that score you haven't stepped out of the family of typical mods for this unique look... you may set a new trend - ;)

Oh yes, that's me - trendsetter! I'm attaching a pic of the entire front so you can see how they look as a whole.
But I must admit....I'm pondering having the side vents painted to match the car. TOO MUCH BLACK!
I don't understand why Audi would switch out the classic Audi silver louvers for all this black - it seems cheap.

Vestergirl, Good job!!! I like it but I think I would like it even more without the "diamond effect". I think that just some "shiny" chrome without that effect would look a little classier....

John! I just noticed you have TWO Q3s listed - wow! So you've got a "his" and a "hers" Prestige white Q3?! Huh. Now why couldn't I have met a guy like you? That is ADORABLE! :x
Yes! Did you know that I purchased my Q3 from the same dealer as you? I drove from Columbus, traded in a car, and drove home in my Q3. You should have been at the dealer to buy me lunch!!

Why thank you Joe. I wasn't seeking the diamond effect, but the the texture of the tape was good & solid (and not stretchy), so this is a test run.

But I must admit...I talked to the body shop today about painting the side vents. We'll see what happens...

Ahh, Robbie is great also. But Todd - my hero. Love that guy. Was that the best / most efficient delivery you've ever had? It sure was for me. Fast, efficient, fun, no trickery....and that beautiful Q right next to us, gleaming in that glass room.

Dreamy! ?
