My buddy has question about the passenger rearview mirror. Does it tilt in reserve. I know the 2016 does not. He is getting a Q3 in the Spring and we're comparing notes. Thank you, Frank

I have a 2017 right now.. And so far it doesn't work right off the bat.

I've followed the guides on this forum and it hasn't work. I will try and enable it via Carista, but last night the option never came up.

I'm only interested in the 2017. Thanks, Frank
I think that coding of mirror tilt doesn't have anything to do with the model, it can be done either it's 2012 nor 2017. I have enabled that on a 2016 Q3 also that was disabled by factory.

Just trying to help you mate

I know, I know, you're only interested tin the 2017 model, but I don't see Audi subtracting a feature from the 2016 when building the 2017.

What trim level is your 2017?

My Prestige 2016 has the dipping passenger mirror as long as the mirror select switch on the driver's door is set to the passenger mirror.....not to the center position and not to the driver's mirror.

So far, it's worked every time....

The 2017 is a Q3 my buddy is buying in the Spring. Mine is a 2016.

edit....the mystery is solved. Mine (Prestige) is NOT working. I assumed the 2016 did not have the tilt. Thanks for everyones's help. I know what to tell my buddy(2017 has tilt)...and I know it's time to take mine in for warranty.

Hey Monsoon:

I talked to the guys at Carista and I got into the beta test for their app. I was able to enable the mirror tilt on reverse.

It works perfectly now.
What is the beta test?
Thanks again for everyone's replies. The Q3 forum and feedback are what makes the Q more fun. My Q3 is about 13 month's new. Loving it. Every day is day 1.

The beta test is their software app thats under development. Not an official release and will feature in-progress material.

Mind you, you will need a wireless OBD2 Adapter that you slot it right under the steering column, closer to the door.

You can either get Carista's wireless adapter or a cheaper wireless adapter like Veepeak ( https://www.amazon.com/Veepeak-Scan...=1480780160&sr=8-2&keywords=veepeak+obd2+wifi )

I contacted them on facebook asking about the mirror tilt. They mentioned that it is not officially released yet on their app and they asked for my email address. From there I got the beta test app for the phone.

I just picked up a 2017 Q3 Prestige last week and the right side wing mirror does in fact dip down when the car is in reverse...if you set it up to do it and the mirror adjustment knob is set to the right side.

Our salesperson missed setting it up but he is forgiven as it was a great experience dealing with him.(delivery).
What did you buy. Welcome aboard.
