Hi all, just took delivery of a 2016 Q3. I'd like to get an adapter for my 6G iPod Classic. Can anyone tell me which one is correct, and also, if it will allow me to operate the iPod from the Multi Function steering wheel?

In addition, my wife has a 5th generation Nano she'd like to use, with the dock connector. Will the same adapter work for both devices?

thanks in advance,
Ed

Look for one that's got 30 pin to apple lightning. (30 pin being the cord that comes with the car and lighting for the iphone) It's personal preference if you want to get the adapter or the one with a cord. It took me a bit to get the configuration the way I wanted it. I've got the cord coming out of the armrest (I have to keep it raised just a bit so it doesn't get damaged) then I found a long cord to attach my phone (I've got a magnetic attachment that goes on the vent) I just tuck the cord under the side of the passenger seat. There is a bit of cord coming up to the vent but it doesn't bother me or the passenger much. Make sure you get either an apple brand adapter or one that's reliable. Some don't work with data meaning everything won't show on your MMI when the phone is plugged in and you want to control it thru the steering wheel.

Be SURE to get a quality one - AND one that supports audio as well as charging, as the cheap ones do NOT support audio -
Don't be shy to spend USD20 here or you'll find it prolly won't work or for long ...
