I think that's almost always the case, vehicles in their home market always get better features. I'm sure this is the case too when it comes to american vehicles and the american market.

Canada gets to order the headlights and 20 inch wheels as separate options.

We in the US get neither ...

Adaptive headlights btw, have servos inside the housings that turn the lamps with steering inputs. Some US models have/have had these as options or part of "Technology Package."

Aww yes but you lot over there still get loads more "car and kit" than us for the same buck :crying: I look at your costings on cars and weep.....really, but then again we have the Queen :D

Have another look at Canadian prices... with the plunging Canadian dollar it is even more of a bargain to an outsider. A Q3 now starts at CAD 35,800, which is only USD 25,600 and dropping. I would not be surprised to see some US boys buying here, what with our free trade and all.

I am not sure of the legalese, ( http://www.ezbordercrossing.com/the...port-a-vehicle/importing-vehicle-from-canada/ says 2.5% at the border) but you can drive here, buy an Audi and take it home. Not sure what taxes you may get at home though. This was hugely popular the last time our dollar was so low, it drained a lot of used vehicles from our market. When our dollar is strong Canadians buy premium cars in the USA at a huge savings.

I expect Audi Canada (and all offshores really) to call for a price increase soon. 20% is just too much to lose.

Keep in mind, Canada speedos and odo's are in KPH and KM, you can change the digital speedo to miles though.

No way.....it would just depress me too much, my 177tdi S-tronic with extras (much the same as what comes standard in the US) came to approx £36,000....whats that about $54,000 US........:crying:

Wow! I had no idea you could pay double. That's what I call holding a grudge to the extreme!! Are Japanese cars selling at the same ratios??
Give or take, yes.

Top of the range Nissan Quashqai approx £30K (maybe a bit more actually, not checked exactly).
Here's a long article and video review:

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/lifestyle/lifestyle-opinion/used-car-review-audi-q3-9004279

Lists as a used car review, but mostly feature/functionality.
I really don't understand the grousing that Autoblog has on offer in their review about the materials quality of the interior. Could the lower dash be soft touch, too? Sure. Is this a deal breaker? Not in the least. They also think the A3 dash is ugly, so maybe they just don't know what they are talking about?

Also, their review basically said "it's a very competent, attractive and livable car - don't buy one."

Finally, I'm always suspicious of US based reviews of luxury vehicles that bring in anything made by Buick. But, most especially, the Encore.

That's a very good point.

I have been reading lots of Q3 reviews. The conclusions vary so widely that there might as well not be any reviews at all for all the help they provide. In some cases, I even wonder if the reviewer bothered to drive the car, or just looked at the spec sheets and formed a quick conclusion to save time.
