Q3 > GLA.

I'm not a fan of how MB is building the CLA, it's way too cheap for my liking and likely the GLA will be like that. NO THANKS.
I drove a CLA the other day and thought the old last-gen Audi A3 felt like a more "solid" vehicle really...and I'm sure the new A3 sedan will be even better.

I'm inferring from these experiences that the Q3 is likely to impart a perception of better quality...

GLA: New platform and engine.

Q3: Old platform, old engine, no memory seats, no Homelink, and no dual-clutch trans.

Unless your are an Audi fan, it looks like there is more stacked against it. It is brought out too late.

Well for such a "new" engine, MB's barely ekes out a measley extra 8 hp which is prolly beat by Audi's under rating anyway. The GLA foes have the DCT, a garage opener and memory seats - it also gets a 7" display (the Q3's is only 6") and it has start/stop which is pretty cool, but no folding mirrors - it also has drilled rotors and painted calipers (with the Sport Package) - and to get all that at my comparably equipped Q3 (except for stuff as noted) at $41675, the GLA will cost a remarkable : $49379

...almost $8K for the DCT, memory seats and garage opener???

They can keep it ...

I agree - ride in the back, instead of drive if you need a computer or two or three to help you that much. Then you can text, talk, even watch YouTube instead of focusing on what you're doing behind the wheel OR dare to enjoy driving...

Sorry, I mean no disrespect, but there's only so much we can relegate to systems for us without taking the simple pleasure of driving to a dull extreme. I'll even be YOUR driver for you without that stuff -

I think a lot of us can relate to that. It's only recent that we're getting vehicles with these features.
...and while I am in enthusiastic support of the technological progress, I am in even more support of maintaining the passion connection to the vehicle for the driver's sake at the same time...

Audi at least seems dedicated to both - a good thing!>:D

Same here, i'm an enthusiast at heart and always liked a vehicle that was more connected to the driver, reason why I go Audi
