Hmm. Could it be due to a sensor being blocked or thinking it's blocked?
Yep, this happens from time to time (some radar detectors shut it down and vice versa). It wil usually reset itself (ignition off) and if counted too many times will throw a DTC...Hmm. Could it be due to a sensor being blocked or thinking it's blocked?
This is true to an extent, was even more true when these first came around on cars over a decade ago. Not sure if they've improved on the tech to ignore that, but definitely something to look into.I hear that those sensors can get covered in dirt or something like that and stop working. Have you tried cleaning it off?
The detectors are behind the mirror glass and get "set" or unset. That's when they get kinda screwed up. You must recycle the ignition NOT merely switch off the system with the switch on the A pillar, to reset them.I hear that those sensors can get covered in dirt or something like that and stop working. looking forward to what gets reported back and how long it takes them to fix it and what exactly is wrong.Got some other errors such as Automatic Headlights/wipers: System Fault.
Bringing it into the dealership tomorrow, will try to report back.
Just for your car or generically - I've had NO issues with mine since delivery in Nov...thanks for following up.Reporting in, they told me it's a wiring issue for the lights and sensor.
Sorry to hear that. Hopefully they can fix it fast and that will be it.Reporting in, they told me it's a wiring issue for the lights and sensor.
