Where will I find the auto-headlight sensor?

I believe it is behind the rearview mirror, they caution you not to place anything on the windshield there.
Good timing as I learned something about this today.
I just turned 600 miles, so still learning. But I thought the auto headlights were WAAAY too sensitive and came on in almost daylight. Well, I had a preference of the Daytime Running Lights turned off. In that mode, they DO come on very early. BUT, with Daytime Lights on, they work as I would expect.
I did not see that one in the manuals.
