I've been leaving the headlights in Auto and what I've noticed is the car doesn't do a great job of switching from headlights on to DRL and visa versa.

If I start the car in the garage, naturally the lights do come on and NAV is on night mode, but I could pull out and be driving around while is bright as anything and they will never switch over to DRL and the NAV will stay in night mode until I turn off and restart the car. Seems the NAV day/night follows the headlight setting or tied to it somehow and not the GPS time.

I've noticed in other models (specifically A3), that there is a setting in the MMI for auto headlight sensitivity, yet I don't have that in mine. Are there different versions of the MMI or do I have to ask dealer to enable/tweak the setting?

Has anyone noticed the same or have any insight?

There are at least 5 versions of MMI and some DO offer sensitivity for auto headlights - but I do not recall seeing it for the Q3 -

I notice this delay in switching day/night on NAV and DRL on/off sometimes too.
