Hi I’m an experience diesel mechanic but when it comes to working on these newer cars I’m just dumb. I have a 2016 Audi q3 and I’m trying to change rear brakes and rotors. I can’t depress the piston on the caliper. Is there any way I can do so with out using vag com?

I just completed a front brake upgrade and had planned on doing the rears at the same time. It is my understanding that we need the vag com. I thought I read that somewhere in this forum but it could of been on vwvortex, not sure. I’m waiting to do the rears until I acquire one. Sorry to hear about your current dilemma. Try searching for “VCDS sequences to retract rear electronic parking brake”. I think that the humble mechanic may have a how to video, though you probably already watched that. Good luck to you.
