Cargo sliding cover

Does anyone notice that cargo sliding cover is making more and more noise as they drive their car?

Whether the sliding cover is retracted or pulled out, it rattles very annoyingly on every bump I go over. I've made sure it's clicked into the slots properly but still rattles... :(

hmm.. mine does not make any noise that I have noticed. I will keep an ear out for it. It is fully extended or retracted?
This is why I took it off immediately after getting the car home after buying it. I didn't even give it the chance to start creeking.

Any SUV I've owned with these covers have creeked, rattled and made the slightest noise to annoy me.

I know you will find info out there about people telling you wrap everything in felt tape to deaden the sound, but you should have to do this on a 40K car.

Personally I don't drive around with anything important in the back worth hiding so mines out.
Only 4,000 miles in just short of six months in our Q3, but there is absolutely no detectable noise from anywhere in the car.....except the radio and Sasha, the navigation lady.

The rattling noise from the cover on my 10 year old Lexus with 65,000 miles is loud enough to compete with a similar noise coming from under the back seat and from my golf clubs in the back.

Like cableguy, I just turn up the radio or open the sun roof and much of he noise disappears......

I am seriously considering taking mine out at this point. I agree with you; lining the track with felt tape seems like "half-ass" job.

I have 18K miles hand have not had a problem yet.
No issues here either....
No issues with mine - over a year and 7K miles ...
The operating window is very narrow for the cover in my Q3 i.e. you have to insert the hooks into the shelf slot very firmly & also make sure the cover's front half (closest to the hatch) is dropping down to minimize the racket.
Are your covers loose where it clips onto the back of the rear seats?

To be specific, does it wobble up and down at the point closest to the seats rather than the point closest to you when you are facing the cargo space?

Mine seems to clip in fine but even after being clipped on, I can move the cover "bar" up and down at the face that's closest to the back of rear seats...

I'm wondering if I broke something when I took it off to load golf bags

Hmm..mine does move where it attaches to the seat back. It is possible you broke part of it like you mention.
