hmm.. mine does not make any noise that I have noticed. I will keep an ear out for it. It is fully extended or retracted?
I am seriously considering taking mine out at this point. I agree with you; lining the track with felt tape seems like "half-ass" job. This is why I took it off immediately after getting the car home after buying it. I didn't even give it the chance to start creeking.
Any SUV I've owned with these covers have creeked, rattled and made the slightest noise to annoy me.
I know you will find info out there about people telling you wrap everything in felt tape to deaden the sound, but you should have to do this on a 40K car.
Personally I don't drive around with anything important in the back worth hiding so mines out.
I have 18K miles hand have not had a problem yet.Does anyone notice that cargo sliding cover is making more and more noise as they drive their car?
Whether the sliding cover is retracted or pulled out, it rattles very annoyingly on every bump I go over. I've made sure it's clicked into the slots properly but still rattles...![]()
Are your covers loose where it clips onto the back of the rear seats?
To be specific, does it wobble up and down at the point closest to the seats rather than the point closest to you when you are facing the cargo space?
Mine seems to clip in fine but even after being clipped on, I can move the cover "bar" up and down at the face that's closest to the back of rear seats...
I'm wondering if I broke something when I took it off to load golf bags
