No, just beeper warnings front and rear as you get closer to objects. You have to steer.
No, just beeper warnings front and rear as you get closer to objects. You have to steer. So, it says that this package includes:
1. Side assist
2. Parking system plus rear view camera
Does it have automatic parking like in this video?

Though I can't decide if the lady's bloody red nail polish or my car driving that far away from me by itself is more scary, it is indeed a bit too much!
I'm with ya man !! I barely (and rarely) even trust my cruise control ...Though I can't decide if the lady's bloody red nail polish or my car driving that far away from me by itself is more scary, it is indeed a bit too much!
I'm old school and while I did like the old Knightrider show with K.I.T.T. I like driving, not the car driving me.
I think you have to press the park assist button to enable it since you are in D as you pull in to the garage. It automatically turns on when you go to R, and stays on even when you switch to D from R until you reach a certain speed, prob 10 mph?So I have a weird question about the Park Assist if anyone knows. When I pull into my garage at home, the park assist doesn't work as I pull forward. If I put it in park, back up a bit, then pull forward again, it will work. My headlights are on auto, so they turn on as I am pulling in the garage. Could the headlights coming on somehow be interfering with the park assist?
Above is correct - I'd thought I'd found a VCDS solution to allow the front PDC to stay on, but nope not yet. Still working that ...
I wondered why - cost cutting or German engineering. Either way, as is, it reduces the effectiveness and purpose of the sensors. Just dumb.I agree and have not found a plausible reason for it not too - other than that code has just not yet been developed for this platform or control module. It may be like the seat memory thing - just weird ...
