Thanks! And the stones and doors belong to my parents: she's normally parked on the streets of Pittsburgh. But I'll pass along the compliment!

Great pictures, out of all the pictures i've seen of this color, yours do the best of showing how great of a color this is. Something I think is a mixture of great natural lighting and a quality camera

Thanks! It's just an iPhone 5S so I'll go with lighting and some skill (I teach media production in higher ed). It really is a subtle but eye-catching color with just a hint of periwinkle. You can see it best in comparison with the aluminum accents and silver rims.

It's definitely one of the PA-specific things I'm happy about, even after this winter. Haha.

I wish I lived in a state that did not require a front license plate. The grill looks so much nicer without one.

Not sure if this is a question that can be answered, but all I'm looking for are opinions......

Ordered my wife's 2016 Q3 five days ago, and today the dealer called to let us know we had seven more days to decide on the color.....we left that option open waiting to see a Florett Silver Q3....and we still haven't seen one, nor have we seen any really decent pictures that shows the true color.

I know this may sound strange, but in the four months we've been considering buying a Q3, neither of us have seen one that is Florett Silver. Our default order is for Monsoon Grey, a color we like, but we are thinking the silver might be more practical and brighter and better looking under the clouds of winter.

So, that was a long way of asking....can anyone give their opinion of the pros and cons of the Florett Silver and Monsoon Grey? Any good pictures you can share? Everything I've seen on the internet looks pretty washed out or not representative of the Florett Silver we've seen on the Q5.

I think the photos that I'd posted a few months ago are pretty indicative of what the color looks like in person. It's got an almost purple and smoky subtle tint to it which makes it look a lot more distinctive than a color like, say, Ice Silver. I quite like it and was pleasantly surprised when I got the car delivered as it's much better than the photos on Audi's site and the configurator online would suggest.

The silver Q3 looks great. And I agree with the others that your stonework also is quite nice. Obviously someone has good taste.

I've yet to see this purple tone that you are mentioning but it sounds awesome.

Yup.

Looks great and like all the other silvers out there, easy to maintain, a combination that's hard to pass up on.

I would call it more of a bluish grey tone than purple however it changes with the light... Our looks silver in the bright sun, but with shade or a cloudy day you can see the tone. Tough to capture in a picture and even then, depending on the light, you see a different color...

Thanks for the input everyone....

Yea, we've seen other Audi models in Florett Silver and from our perspective and our brain's sense of color, we too see the bluish grey tone in the shade. But as it has pointed out, it is tough to get an accurate picture because the color changes somewhat depending upon the lighting, the lighting angle, and the device used to take the picture.

My only real concern is the number of Audi Q5s I see in FS that appear dull. We take excellent care of our cars, and I just hope it keeps it's shine! I want the car to sparkle, not look dull. Each time the car is washed we shine the tires (unless it's raining here in the Northwest**) because it just seems to make the car shine too.

**Note....if you are from California, and are thinking about moving to Washington State and drive up the housing prices, it rains 364 days a year and is overcast on the other day:p....for everyone else, the weather here is always very mild and we do not have weather extremes like so many other parts of the States....oh, we did have Mt. St. Helens blow a few years back, and there are earthquakes from time-to-time, but we wouldn't live anywhere else.

I hear about your weather all the time. My wife and her sister, who lives in a city across some big river from Portland, talk every day. I’ll never forget how thrilled I was when she told us she was moving to Vancouver. I’d always wanted to see Victoria, Stanley Park, The Sea to Sky Highway. But NOO.
