Very nice, I like it too. Also like your new wheels. Since I have Mythos black paint the black vents were already matched without the need for a mod :)
Yes, the dark colors are much more conducive to all the blackness on the front end. I wish Audi would've just left the area around the center grille body-colored. Those fake vents are just, well...dumb. ;)

I guess I'm the minority, but I'm not really sure I like the all white grilles. I think the outside trim of the grill including the horizontal slats look good in white, but that the eggcrate part should have remained black behind the white slats. Anyway, MY opinion doesn't matter when it comes to YOUR vehicle and as long as you're happy with it that's all that really matters.

I like the two tone nature of the stock vents. The white Q's sort of have a "storm trouper" look to them with the black vents. :nerd:

It's nice to see some customizing though and I commend you on a job well done!

Funny you should say that, because that's precisely what the body shop manager and I discussed. We were both vascilating on the topic, and they are actually two separate pieces so it would be easy to only do one or the other. In the end, obviously I went with total coverage, and though I don't like that "egg crate" texture, I like it a like it a little better in white.

I apprciate your comments!

May I suggest something vestergirl?

I think it would look much better if you kept the honeycomb part of the fog light grills black and paint the horizontal slates of the fog light grills white (like you have done).

I think any grill in black is better than any other color.

But I definitely like your idea of white horizontal slates on fog light grills.

Looks good. It's different. it's yours.
I'm a fan of the stock look. I think the black accents are just right on any color Q..... especially White. However I also like something different.... and an owner that wants to be creative to make a personal statement and has the guts to so.

I love it! Are they simply painted in the same body color? I will be coming to Cincy for a look-see!!

Great job! John

First, I LOVE that you're taking charge of your car with your own look - second, I think I agree with the few that the actual grill part, the egg-crate bits, would look better as original. My own view is that now there is too much texture going on o'er there without any color - but if a true monochrome was to be in play then the entire front grill, shiny bits too, should be white ...

I was torn at first about the waffle/honeycomb part being painted...for one, I wasn't sure it would hold up. But now, after a couple of weeks of coming and going, and seeing it close up and at a distance....I definitely like the white. It's just more subtle and maybe feminine, I don't know...I knew from the start that the black grills and I would never get along - ha! Just like those wheels...I'm so much happier with the new wheels.

Next up - that annoying black waffled strip on the back bumper!

Yup. Paint-code matched! And now that I love the difference so much, I'll be doing the same to the black strip on the back bumper.
AND the slick Audi center caps I got on ebay for the new wheels look AMAZING! Need to post pics.

I think you guys just like all this black grill stuff because you're MEN!! I'm really liking the softer look of the white.
Thanks Roger! :D
