Hi everyone, I purchased a Q3 last November and just discovered this website. I browsed a few of the topics in the forums (which were very helpful) and just wanted to introduce myself as a new member of this community.

I'm a medical student in my early 20s, and my Q3 is a Premium Plus in Brilliant Black. I haven't seen any other Q3s on the road, so it's cool to know that you all are out there!

Hey there and welcome. I think you'll find some very cool and useful stuff here - if you need anything that you don't find, just ask. Any number of us will be delighted to help you as best we can. We like to help. All we ask in return is to be yourself with us and post a few pics in your garage ;)
Thanks Roger! I have been poking around the site and saw the garage--unfortunately I only have nighttime shots of the Q3 so I will upload some nicer daytime pics this week after my dealership fixes some of the dings on the front.
Welcome as well! Yes, there is a lot of great info here!
Study hard and in-between, enjoy your ride!

Hey Doc, I have a pain in my right shoulder.

Welcome.
Welcome from Akron!
damawa, hello and welcome to the forum! Nice to have you join us. Please, share some pics of how your car currently looks and also share your ideas and thoughts of what you might want to do with it.
Welcome to the club :)

What other vehicles were you considering before going for the Q3?

Hopefully it treats you well!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I had a 2013 Civic and it was sliding all over the place in the winter, so I was looking for something that could handle the snowy weather better. I always thought Audi made beautiful cars but did not have anything particular in mind before I went to the Audi dealership. I test-drove the Q5 first and then the Q3. The Q5 seemed more like a family car and I liked how sporty the Q3 looked.

If I had gone to any other dealerships, I probably would have looked at the BMW X3 (I don't like how flat the X1 looks), the Range Rover Evoque, Lexus NX, and maybe a few others. I honestly don't know too much about cars, but I love the Q3 so no regrets about the decision! :D

Good choice!
I doubt you're missing out on much if any with those other vehicles, plus I have yet to see any concerning disappointments with the Q3.

Hopefully it treats you well!
Great to have you on the forum. Plenty of helpful and friendly people on the forum that are happy to answer questions.

Post some pictures up of your Q3 when you get the chance.

Looking forward to discussing things with you more in the future. :D

That there are.
Forums like this are extremely valuable to owners like us, funny enough we end up knowing more about these cars than some dealers do!
My biggest gripe with the Q3 is that its introduction to north america resulted in the demise of the A3 hatch here. In fact thats the only reason Im considering the Q3 as I'm not huge on the A3 sedan...

regardless, welcome to the boards and enjoy the Quattro!

Miss the A3 hatch, one of the last cool hatches we had available to us in north america.

At least now we have a jacked up and more rugged A3 hatch... the Q3 :D
