Hi,

Roger, how difficult is it to change the Haldex clutch oil (every three years). Is this something you definitely want the dealer (or reputable mechanic do)? Has anyone had experience doing this on the Q3 or similar vehicle?

It's not really hard but perhaps more messy - I'm an old man now, so I'll be using the dealer - plus I'm still warranted so that helps - but is NOT necessary...

Yes, I had the same issue. They say the Haldex oil change has now been extended by a year. I bought Audi Care too, for this issue...

Apparently, the service manager at my Audi dealer has never heard of the Haldex clutch.?? I then got a response saying it is for FWD Audis only. This sounds wrong to me
That is very concerning that a service manager doesn't know the Haldex All Wheel Drive system. All Audi A1, A3s, TTs, Q2s and Q3s have the Haldex system as its AWD Quattro version. There haldex clutch is what is responsible for transferring power from the front to the rear.
