Has anyone noticed a hard or "harsh" downshift when slowing to a stop? Not sure which gears but seems like 3rd to 2nd. It's happened multiple times and doesn't feel normal to me. Happens even when warm. Also had a harsh upshift when it was cold from 1st to 2nd.

A bit of harsh shifting when cold (< 30 deg F) is not unusual unless you have about 10K on the car. As for downshifts, do you have it in Sport mode perchance? This would easily account for that ... otherwise you may need a few more break-in miles, but have the dealer check anyway -
I experience what I consider odd transmission behaviors. Harsh downshifting is one of them as well as some hesitation to up shift from time to time. I'm at 3,500 miles now and it seems to have improved over the last 1,000 miles but still exists. I've contacted the dealer and noted it on Audi's post sale follow up and it's been the "wait and see" approach until my 5,000 mile service. Frustrating for sure.
