Hi everyone, my car have the HID lights, but in general as I go downhill in dark roads the lights patron are very low.

Is possible to adjust the lights a little higher? It is mechanical (I don't see in the manual or in the car any adjustment point) or is via VCDS?

Thanks in advance

I believe it is by VCD.

I had the exact same problem with my headlights being too low. I took my car to a local garage that specialize in German brands and they were able to raise it up for me.

It IS mechanical, BUT the system uses an on-calibration that raises and lowers them beam on start-up. You need to first put the lights into test or service mode via VAS or VCDS, then adjust them with a screw on the top of each unit, then reset them into operation mode with a cold start. The lights will go thru their new height calibration and you'll be set.

Wow Roger, sounds nice. Can you explain me with a little more details the whole process? (pictures can help a lot :D)

Thanks in advance

This is about all I can show you : a pic of the left headlight looking down, front of car at top - the yellow arrow is pointing at the adjuster screw - BUT, don't touch this unless the car is set to headlight adjust mode in VAS or VCDS.

This is a perfect picture Roger, thank you so much.

In the VCDS where is the option to place the car in headlight adjust mode? I need something else additional to that?

Thanks in advance

Yes, in VCDS (I'm not sure which module, but think it's 55 - Headlight Range) - I think you'll see it in the "Readiness", "Basic Settings" or "Output Tests" ...

I think you're fine on the left side of the menu - these are the "safe" choices, but on the right side, the "advanced" ones, I'd just be careful ...

Hello, newb here. My wife's 2015 Q3 is having the same problem with the headlights pointed to low. I am not familiar with VCDS or VAS but could someone point me to an Audi specialist in southern california, preferably Orange County?
