I'm considering a Q3 to replace my "dirty" VW Golf TDI, some time when we get our settlement here in Canada (yes, I know ... wishful thinking!!), so will be researching this forum for info and advice.

I'm a long-time car nut (over 50 years) and am still driving my 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator I originally purchased Aug.1, 1969, though not the entire time .. read my story here http://www.harrya.webs.com .

Thanks. :)

Welcome to the forum - hope your quest is really what you want to do and we're glad you're here ... Personally, I WISH (and had originally wanted) that I could have a Q3 TDI. I drove one in Germany back in 2012 (with a stick) and LOVED it. They get 40% better mileage and NO performance differences - in fact quite the contrary is true.

Nice Merc' too, btw -

That's a beautiful vehicle you got there ! But welcome to the forums ! This is a different route from the Golf, what brought on the transition ?
We had a ML320 before the Golf and now miss not having the suv ... visibility, all-wheel traction, etc. And with the TDI fiasco, looking at the Q3 to replace it. I took one for a test drive and really liked it, but definitely would prefer the TDI engine ... likely never to get here.

Oh okay that makes sense. I see that. The perks of an SUV really do add up depending on you're lifestyle of course. But you can't really go wrong with them.

The TDI engine fiasco definitely flipped things all over the place so I agree..

I would like to ask in this thread about moving companies in Canada, if someone knows.
We want to buy the house in Ottawa, Ontario. We will sell the current house in Alma. How it is the best of all to move and transport all our household things?
Is it possible to use this or other services? interesting in your esponses and recommendations.
