Okay, I'm a sound quality snob and I know it.

Looking at small SUVs and just drove a Q3 with the premium Bose sound system. Liked the car but sound quality is a deal-breaker. (IMO, Logic 7 in the GLA is far better.)

Has anyone installed a higher quality sound system in a Q3 and, if so, what did you do?

Nothing wrong with that. Bose is an upgrade to me...I only hear so much. You definitely need a custom system. Welcome aboard.

GLA...I'm 6'1"....I could not get in without a shoehorn. Bought my Q3 Nov 2015...everyday is still day one. Really enjoying the Q

My wife just bought a Macan...there is an option for a Burmester system. I think it ran about $6000plus. That was from the factory. I guess a custom shop could/would install one. I'd guesstimate close to $1000.

What I always found to be a winning strategy is to get your doors and where ever else you want lined with dynamat or a similar product, that will go a long way in making the most of what you have already, which for some people will stop them from going aftermarket. So if sound quality is what you want, that's where you start.
