I just got a loaded 2017 Q3 that doesn't have Homelink to open the garage door. Has anyone used an alternative? My wife is afraid of leaving the garage door opener and doesn't want to carry it around all the time. Read somewhere you could switch a mirror from the Q5. Happy wife happy life

May I suggest if all else fails..... There are retro kits that adapt to most Liftmaster openers An iPhone can lift/lower and will signal if door is left open. Use it to open or close the door or to check if you left it open. Works from anywhere. Also can tell if door is open while in the house with a monitor. Lift master/Chaimberlain has the kits. Google for best prices. They are internet based. If you like the idea I can explain more.

Look around this forum - there are several alternatives to consider - some direct HomeLink retrofits, some using the factory Audi kit, etc.
