What's the best approach to using iPhone contacts with the 2016 Audi?

Can you access the your contacts by voice when the phone is connected by bluetooth but the contacts haven't been imported into the directory?

I did import to the directory of the MMI system and everything works fine with one exception. To dial into my home voicemail, when away from home, requires this: Access number - Pause - Home number - Pause - Password - #

After importing the directory, I only get the Access number.

Also, after the directory is imported, is there a method for importing additional contacts, or deleting individual contacts?

thanks for any guidance,

I've never connected my iPhone with a cable and my contacts are always there - when my wife's iPhone is connected, so are hers ...

Per the manual amnd talking to tech support: removing all user-created groups from my iPhone allowed contacts to be imported via Bluetooth.

Is it necessary to go through the various directory entries and make "Public" ones that need to be navigation destinations??

Hi anonymous398 - maybe try re-pairing your Bluetooth. I've never imported anything from my iPhone and can get to the contacts via Bluetooth (or usb) without any problems.
