Hello,

I've seen several threads here about battery drawing down when something is connected to the 12V socket or the MMI socket.
The dealer performed an MMI software update with I took the Q3 (2016) in for its first service last month.

By habit I've been unplugging my IPOD from the MMI 30pin cable when turning off the car. Do I still need to do this?

Thanks,

The 12 v socket (cigarette type) is not powered with the ignition off so for sure you don't have to worry about it. While I think that the MMI plug IS powered with the ignition off, I STILL don't think the draw is enough to drain your battery unless your car is not driven for weeks ...
