Does anyone with first gen. Q3 notice a quiet knock when you press down on gas while moving? For example, when I'm doing 40mph without any pressure on gas pedal, then I give a bit of gas, I hear a knock.

There is no gear change.

Same knock is heard sometimes when I let of of gas after a constant gas.

Anyone else notice this before?

I can't remember if this existed before or not.

Not sure if it's exactly the same, but certainly very similar to my case few months ago.

I even posted here asking for ideas too. At the end I think for some reason I just had a tank of bad gas (premium gas though). Once I filled up the next time at a different gas station, I can't reproduced the issue anymore.

I don't think the knock I experience is similar to the vibration you experienced. I can't remember if different gas made a difference, I will have to see if it still does that with a new tank of gas.

My 2¢ is that this sounds like bad gas - premium or not. Sometimes when you pull into a gas station and see a fuel truck, I usually pass because when trucks unload they often stir up stuff from both the bottom (dirt) and sides (water) of the tank into the pump pickups. Neither of these are healthy for either the car or its filtration systems and while they work pretty well, I don't want the dissolved solids nor additional moisture in new equilibrium into my engine...

i just bought my new RSQ3 - 2015 (before facelift) with 18.5 K kilometer , having exacully same issue, even with high octan gas . i already changed 3 tanks , i asked the owner he said its normal and since the
mechanical is tough its happening,

the knock isnt so strong but i can feel it in my leg and my ears if i listen carfully.

every time i press gas just a bit i can hear it. in D and in S mode.

This sounds like a faulty knock-sensor especially in the 5-cylinder of the RS - as for the OP, could still be a faulty knock-sensor too if not bad gas, or gas of too-low octane...

If hear this knock on the over-run - that is throttle lift-off, then there may be a mechanical knock you're hearing NOT and engine knock. My comments are based on an engine knock. If you're "feeling" this in the seat, then I'd suspect a mechanical rather than engine knock. Engine knocks are usually (unless severe) more heard than felt ...

Any chance if it's like this noise? below is a video of noise I'm having problem with,
It appears at low rpm, not very loud but little bit of vibration every time I push accelerator slightly.

That sounds like intake noise to me - that is the sound of air rushing into the intake on throttle opening - even at comparable low inputs.
