Hello all! My 2020 Q3 has a leaking moonroof and it’s pouring into the light/moonroof control panel and causing it to rain heavily in my car.
Going in for my second repair attempt at the dealership. Any idea if this is a fixable problem or does anyone have any experience with Audi buying back their vehicle?
I was completely drenched and my interior will probably need to be replaced if this persists.
Thank you!

I have the same issue with my 2020 Q3, and the same thing was in the shop twice, and had that issue after 2nd service once more and now seems to be ok. Very disappointed in my Q3 tbh. Probably the worst car I had when it comes to number of issues for hardly a year. Also most expensive one I've had but as well the best ride of them all. Also had couple of time the issue that car would not drive after e.g. waiting for another car to leave the parking spot, once in drive it just does mothing...emergency brake was not on, and pretty much all the lights were on warning and others. Couldn't even turn it off to restart. After while trying this and that finally turned it off and back on. Not sure what the **** was that.

I have a 2021 Q3, sitting, again, at dealer with a leaking sunroof. Or at least they think it is the sunroof that leaks
Leaks day after a decent rainfall. Lights flicker. Have taken pictures, dragged dealer staff into car while it drips.
Audi Canada shrugs. Dealer tells me that every step most be approved by Audi Canada.

Bought car because I need a reliable car. That is not working out.

Yeah, join the club...unfortunately that is not the only thing I have problem with this car but at least this one is fixed. My driver side wiper is hitting edge of the windshield so when traveling on rainy day makes me crazy. Rear one makes such an awkward noise while working that each time scares the c*** out of me. If I don't drive car for a day or so, breaks make grinding noise like an old car.... Can't wait my lease is up to get rid of it.

Glad I found this - literally just happened to my 2021 Q3. Console lights started flickering while we were driving and then water started dripping shortly after. Will be contacting the dealership tomorrow - living in Seattle I’m not sure I’m willing to deal with continued leaks.

Same! My 2020 Q3 is currently at Audi Manhattan for this issue, since I drove for 3 hrs with rain pouring in through my light the other day—with the remnants of Hurricane Ian above me the entire drive. All I can say is hurray for the microfiber towels I happened to have for cleaning and the sport mats I had to wring them out into! When I took it to the dealer yesterday for a previously scheduled appt for the front passenger side strut bushings (“CLUNK!” over every bump), I told them I had another problem that was not on the service order. When I told him about the leak, he said that they had gotten an alert that this was an issue with these cars and he described it in great detail! Hmmm. I’m eager to see if they are able to fix it. In the meantime, if rain is in the forecast, I’ll just keep one of those towels over control and charger area below the leaky light. Also, I’ve been trying to find the UK Forum discussion about this, as referenced by another commenter—anyone have a link? It’s not coming up in search and I’m not wanting to go through 20 pages of comments if I don’t have to.

That is the known issue they need to replace the rubber seal all around, however that is the most work and most expensive for them so leave it as a last option rather then first by now. So they will try first crappy solution e.g. using silicon glue etc...For me 5th time was a charm. Maybe dealership service here is crappy I don't know. Good luck

Thank you! As I was typing my original message, I got a message with a video about the repair. I can’t post it, but I took a still photo that I am posting. They said that there was a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) about the water ingress through the roof. And he said that the wind deflector is what needed to be replaced (shown in the photo—it’s like the rubber gasket for a front load washer) and they had ordered one. He said in the meantime he made sure that the water drains were clear. I hope this is helpful to people that have the same problem!
