Hi All! I just recently found out about this issue with the Q3. I have a 2021 Q3 and two days ago I started driving and noticed my overhead lights would come on randomly. They would dim and then get brighter and I could not turn them off without them turning back on. Then, I noticed water dripping around that electrical panel. I took it into Audi and they said it was due to dirt in the sunroof drains. They told me that the electrical panel in fine, however, clearly it was not when there was water in it.

They said that they cleaned out the drains and my car is already ready to pick up. Has anyone else had this issue where Audi said everything was fine? I am hesitant to believe them because the water was clearly all up in there two days ago. I don't know much about cars so any insight would be helpful.

Rachel.... Hi, this is a really HUGE PITA subject to me and other Q3 owners here. I clean my sunroof drains (front two) when the dreaded drip happens by blowing air thru them and running a rigid plastic line (NO wire hangers as Mommy Joan would say.....) The leak stops for two or three rain events then I have to clean them again.

I've heard there is a recall then I haven't found anything reasonable in print to follow up. Maybe someone can shed light on this issue?

Best wishes!
Charlie

I was just at the dealership for the 1st step of repair - they told me there isn't a "recall" but a "service bulletin" about them and they have to do it in steps - there is potentially 4 steps to repair this - the first was some rubber pieces - I just had those done now I have to wait and see if it leaks again - if it does I have to bring it back for step 2.
YES I did ask them if we can just skip all the BS and do all 4 steps at once but they said they can't do it that way....

Took it back to the deer last Monday ( feb 6, 2023) picked it up today (feb 8, 2023) fingers crossed they have fixed the issue this time.. well i wont know it until we have rain again!!! Goodluck!
