Is anyone having problems with Directory entries disappearing? I set up my Home location and a few others, and have had to re-enter them several times since they just vanish. I suppose it could be something I'm doing without realizing it, but I am not knowingly deleting anything.

I found that entries I made while my iPhone was connected via Bluetooth only appear later if my phone is connected. Not sure what is going on there. If I switch to the navigation screen while my phone is still connecting, the directory is grayed out. Once the phone loads the directory is accessible.

It doesn't retain entries from the phone, since as you said, those are only available when the phone is connected. The ones that go missing for me are the ones entered through MMI. Is it using the phone to save those entries?

What I meant is that my saved navigation entries that I input through the MMI don't appear on the MMI unless my phone is connected via Bluetooth.

I have not investigated this rigorously, so don't know why it happens. I could understand it if the entries were being saved on the phone, but this is clearly not how things operate.

Are you sure you really saved them to the MMI and not just referred to the entries in your phone? This sounds quite bizarre to me and only the destination addresses in my contacts list (on my phone) are temporary to me...

I am pretty sure that I saved them to the MMI, since at least a couple of the entries were the sort of thing I would not have in my contact list. I agree it sounds bizarre: the entries should have nothing to do with the phone. I will investigate further.

I realize that the phone entries are transient based on whether or not the phone is connected, but the ones that disappear on me are the entries created through the MMI. Home Address is a good example. I've had to re-enter that at least 4 times now.
