I've seen a few people ask this already but never found an answer...

Q3, switched on, engine running, radio on....
I turn the volume right down so there is no sound at all (or press the mute button on the steering wheel).
Switch off engine and get out of the car.

Next time I get in, the radio is back on (with the volume louder than I would like).

It will not remember the previous setting of 0 volume.
I've seen the suggestion to turn off the MMI unit but then I don't get Bluetooth for my phone connection (for calls).

All I want to do is mute the radio/media fully...for good! ...and I don't want to record 3 hours of silence to play back through the media player off SD card ;-)

Anyone know of a way this can be done through the Green Menu or via VCDS?

I just got rid of my 2018 Q3 but I seem to recall there was a setting in the MMI that allowed you to set the default volume of the MMI (radio).

Have you poked around in the MMI settings?
