hi everyone! new here, I currently do not own a q3 but am looking to purchase one shortly. I was wondering if anyone has modded their q3 in any fashion, especially a potential ECU tune? be it by APR or another reputable company.

I know lowering springs and the such are available, but I'm more curious about the performance mods.

I currently have a mk7 VW GTI, and I know they carry the same type of engine, so I'm looking to bring in similar HP I achieved in that in the q3.

Hello, I too am interested in this because my brother has a GTI and he told me his APR tune would work on my vehicle and have been researching to see if this is true, so I will update if I figure this out as well.

I looked on ECS tuning's website and apparently there is a tune for the q3 by APR... (same tune I have on my GTI) however it says can only be done at their facility? I'll message one of their workers I know and find out.

This engine is HIGHLY tunable but at the cost of your warranty. You can get perhaps 280 hp out of it without new turbos (then upwards of 400) - not many of us are THAT into tuning this car yet - i actually am happy enough with my Sprint Booster for the kind of driving I use/do with the Q3. You can see from my sig, I have other alternatives for fun ...

Yes, Have the GIAC tune in my 2.0 FSI and its worth every penny. More power all the way through the range. Mid range to top end is a big improvement. At lite cruise better fuel economy by about .2 - .3 l/100 however its heavier on fuel if your pushing it. Highly recommended, good value for the money. Was thinking about a transmission tune but with the extra torque I don't think I worry about it.

Yup, I'm not modding my Q3 as well. I feel like I don't need at the moment and it's not really the car that I bought with mindset to mod it and it's also on lease, so I would rather not mod it too much

I'm in the same boat, although I picked up my Q3 a month ago, but I've got the itch to enhance the performance after coming from a highly modified TDI prior to this one (gone by dieselgate).
Full tune (warranty implications) or something like the Neuspeed power module.
