Hello everyone:
I have just put a deposit on a 2018 Audi Q3 and the dealer said I should receive the vehicle in June some time.
I found this site and I find it very helpful.
I live in a state which requires a front license plate but I ordered the vehicle with the delete front plate option and I plan to relocate the license plate. Has anyone done this before and where have they placed the plate? I am sure I will have questions to y'all but for now I am just reading the past posts for information.

Welcome to the forum, pronto. You've done the right thing, if you can't find it with a search, ask! Someone is bound to know. We look forward to your contributions as well as you start discovering the "unique" features of your Q3 when it arrives.

I don't recall seeing anyone post about an "alternate" location for the front license plate, but what I have done in the past is keep my front plate in my door side pocket, and when I park the car (or if I were pulled over) I just place the plate on my dash against the windshield.

I have a neighbor who holds it on the dash with Velcro even when he is driving....that wouldn't be my first choice, especially if I was rear-ended and the plate came flying aft.

Where are you in Washington state? What dealer did you purchase your Q3 through?

I'm at the southwest end, in the original Vancouver!

Welcome to the forum - glad you found us and hope you continue to enjoy. I run EU tags on 2 of my Audis and simply risk the ticket. I figure I can afford the $30 if I get pulled for that - so far in several years have NEVER been even asked about them when pulled over for other stuff ... for which I was ALWAYS innocent of anyway - ;-)

Wow 2018?! Where do you live? Does it have a facelift from the 2017?

Any word on changes for 2019?

We're thinking of giving our 2016 Q3 to one of our grandkids for college next year, but as my wife likes her Q3 so much, we would probably order a 2019 next summer.

I'm still mulling over the 2018 Q5 for myself, but it would appear the early editions in the US do not include "Driver Assistance," something that can be a big help to old people who still party late at night....

Apparently Driver Assistance and a few other things will be offered later in the 2018MY, just not yet.

Hello:
Thanks for the reply. I bought the vehicle from Audi Seattle and the ABS said it should be built this month and then a month to ship it to Houston and he expects the Q to be in Seattle in June.
I can't wait, but in the meantime I am checking what other members have to say about the vehicle and what they have done to their Q's as well.

Hi Muscle...
The 2018 had not even began production when I ordered it last month but the ABS has told me that the vehicle should not have many changes from a 2017. But there is so much speculation out there that some of the photos look totally different from the current one.
But for 2018 they did not have the option of the Prestige and just the Premium Plus at the high end. And I initially chose the Sport plus package for the black optics and flat bottom steering wheel but I did not like the wheels so I then chose the sports package which comes with the off road design wheels.
And thank everyone for the welcome and I am sure I will rely on y'all for some answers.
I had a Audi A6 Avant and when I get the Q I can give the 6 back to my wife.
