Hey guys,
This Black Friday I traded in my 2014 VW Passat TDI SE for a 2016 Audi Q3 Prestige in Utopia Blue with Rock Gray Interior. While my gas mileage took a significant hit, at least I'm not polluting the environment as badly ;)
I love the LED lights all around (except the reverse bulbs [?!]), though I wish I had true fog lights in the front bumper as well as memory seats. Other than those two minor things, the Q3 has everything I want.

Congrats! I love that color.

Thanks everyone. I discovered yesterday that the sunroof isn't opening or tilting. From a quick search on this forum, it unfortunately looks to occur fairly commonly.

But to the dealer's credit, they had the car only one day and had to remove the spacers from the suspension and the protective wraps to prep the car for me to take it home. I'm going back tomorrow for them to install the sealant and I'll have them fix that.

Welcome to the forum. Hope you will enjoy your new Q3 like many others on this forum.

But to me, so far my experience is a little disappointing... this is my first brand new European car and the most expensive car I ever bought. But my Q3 has been in the shop for a few times already (2 months old with only 1200 miles, no biggies yet but still annoying) and at least 1 more pending... None of my previous much cheaper Japanese cars had this poor/inconsistent initial quality issues. Or maybe I am just the unlucky one here...

Welcome to the forum, jabbarjd....it's pretty obvious from your photo you were in Texas on or around Black Friday.

I just returned from a week in your lovely state, and it rained every day beginning on the day before Thanksgiving. We loved the rain, but the locals....not so much.

I'm assuming you're in San Antonio, not San Angelo....but either way, it's a great part of the country.

Sorry to read you're having a few problems with your Q3, but I think you'll find your dealer will quickly sort them out.....and if not, we're here to help.

I certainly hope I don't have as many issues with my Q3 as you have had, but I can definitely understand how that would sour your experience.

I'm in San Antonio, and I hate the rain. Not so much because it makes my car dirty (though that is irritating), but mostly because everyone forgets how to friggin drive when it's not sunny. I also appreciate that this fairly active community is so willing to help.

Congrats on the Q3. Are you planning to get any sort of paint protection done at all or leave it as is?

Right now, I'm getting the sealant that they sell (the name escapes me right now, but I'll edit with the name). I'm considering getting the film to protect against chips and other road debris, but I want to make sure it doesn't dull or detract from the paint at all.
