After 13 BMWs I am now looking forward to my new Q3. I have been retired for the past 4 years and wanted a compact crossover. I was appalled at BMW's nerve to want $5,000 more for an X1 fitted out to match the Q3. My Q3 test drive clinched the deal and now I am anxiously awaiting its arrival.

We live on Signal Mountain, TN, so I will appreciate the Q3's surefootedness in bad weather.

What kind of pricing did you receive? How is yours equipped? Color?

Funny, we lived in STL for over 20 years, moved to TN 3.5 years ago to be closer to our granddaughters.

My Q3 Prestige is Monsoon Gray with black interior and the Sport Package. I went through USAA and they put me in touch with a dealer in Knoxville and my price is $40,903 including transportation and all fees.

Seriously?? The Rams are no longer in LA?

Next you're going to tell me Norm Van Brocklin and Elroy "Crazy Legs" Hirsch are no longer on the team. >:D

rokutman, as you know, you cannot go wrong with USAA....

I had only three in St. Louis to choose from. I really couldn't wait. I could have traveled but the car I wanted was 1000 miles away. Didn't think it was worth it. I don't have the sports package. Paid about the same. I do have wood trim, and the dealer included mats, iphone cable, and cargo tray. Just realized no wheel locks. I didn't press that hard. Didn't want to pay to have a car shipped.

Sounds like you made out just fine with the wood trim and other goodies. I had a choice of roughly 6 dealers in a 100 mile radius. The local dealer tacks on $500 doc fee and $600 dealer prep then says the Q3 is hard to get so their pricing was ridiculous. The Knoxville dealer accepted the USAA pricing and is 85 miles away. There were roughly 5 Q3 Prestiges in stock among the 6 dealers but the Q3 I bought was coming in, in fact the boat docked in Jacksonville yesterday so I should be able to pick it up late next week.
