I've been in contact with Weathertech a few months ago, but nothing at present. Guess they need to got a model for a digital fit.
I've been in contact with Weathertech a few months ago, but nothing at present. Guess they need to got a model for a digital fit.Hello, all! Has anyone heard word on the availability of the all weather floormats for the North American market? I have them marked as requested on my order but I'm starting to wonder if they are going to make it to the states in time for the car to arrive next month.
Good to know someone has been on top of it.I've been in contact with Weathertech a few months ago, but nothing at present. Guess they need to got a model for a digital fit.
Yes it is and I'm still checking out their web site.Good to know someone has been on top of it.
I guess once it's in the loop they'll let you know? is that the case?
Maybe the floor layout isn't the same.Hi rnablas, would that mean that here in the US on Weathertech one can order the Tiguan model mats?
Quite probably - the platforms are the same, drive trains and suspensions essentially so — I would expect the floor pans and carpet moldings to be too. So the floor mats either carpet or rubber should be interchangeable. You might suffer a VW logo thoughHi rnablas, would that mean that here in the US on Weathertech one can order the Tiguan model mats?
Please post some links to these other forums - that just doesn't make any sense to me. The Q3 is based on the Tiguan platform so should be the same - and there's NOT enough of any difference for the NA market to adjust the floor pan any to make a difference. I'm suspicious of BS by a few ...I've been told by the dealer - and have heard in other forums - that the North American Q3 is just different enough that the mats originally in the accessory catalog don't fit in real life. I'm hoping to get Audi mats (nothing functionality-wise against WeatherTech, just prefer the look of the Audi set) but nothing's materializing yet...
That's interesting, but they're stil in the main Q3 brochure for the U.S. I'm still having a hard time imagining what the 'ever so slightly" difference could be...I'll check on Monday at my dealer.
I called Weathertec 2 weeks back and they advise the Q3 mats will be available in December, they took my email address and said they would let me know.
Also my dealer said to ignore the Audi mats and get Weathertec instead.
No, just an implicit "the Weathertec is a better mat". I am in Ontario Canada and snow and salt are abundant (you get your share in PA, too) .... anything other than a full on tray style will simply let salty water enter the carpet below, particularly on the dead pedal.. I assumed the Audi mats will not trap all the water. But you know what free advice is worth!Huh - did he elaborate on why? All of the Audi mats I've had (in my A3 and in an ex's Q5 and allroad) have done a great job and looked fantastic.
