As the first Q3 from Audi, I presume that the Q3 is going to draw a different buyer demographic than other Audi models.

I'm curious on the age or age group that some of the people on this forum fall into. Is the Q3 skewing younger than the average Audi buyer, or at least the average Audi Q5 buyer, now that a smaller crossover is available?

Please post whether you've:
•Ordered or purchased an Audi Q3
•Plan to buy (and in approximately how many months)
•Just exploring

As well as your age, and anything else you're willing to share that will allow all of us to paint a more accurate picture on just who exactly is buying the Q3. This can be a fun thread.

Me:
•25 years old
•Plan to buy in a few months
•This will be my second Audi
•Engineer
•Technology enthusiast

I'm exploring and maybe planning on buying if I can save up some money.
I'm 25 and live in Canada.

I think that the Q3 will skew younger, but at the same time it would make a good car for empty nesters too so I expect a diverse range of buyers.

Guess I'll take the geezer award at 63.

4th Audi, 450,000+miles dating back to 1987. Chose a Q3 as couldn't justify more dollars invested when we are driving so few miles; 2 other vehicles. Our Q3 is to be delivered late Jan. 2015.

Nearly retired manufacturer's rep.

Hey - we're ahead in the stats, even if we have a kinda dumbbell so far - a peak at 25 and at 60+ - hah! So much for the "skewing younger" worry ... or maybe we can just say heck, we're ALL 25 mentally - I know I can join that group. My wife might contend I'm even younger-minded - she says I'm barely a teenager - >:D

Or even 21, the age where we can legally drink and just overall have the hooligan pass, it goes well with how fun these cars can be ;)

Me: 55 former BMW owner now converted.
Ordered Q3, delivered 1st wk of November.
semi-retired
Love the car except for 2 things: hate the rain sensor wipers (compared with my x3) and the manual/steptronic (don't like that if you have your hand on the shifter it easily slides into steptronic) other than that I love the car....
Been waiting forever for Weathertech floor mats...I was told by the end of January by the company

I bought front mats thru Amazon from germany. Great mats, reasonable but not weathertech. I returned them. I want the full coverage. I keep holding out that it's only going to be a few more weeks. I check every week and keep my fingers crossed. Got the after market ones in the q3 I took out of my old x3. They'll do for now.

Me too, Amill. I bought the back seat and cargo area and am (not-so) patiently awaiting the fronts. I was told by them 2 weeks ago that it would be 4 to 6 weeks. I'm hoping they'll be in my car by March 1, 2015!

I'm right in the middle at 47 years old. Electrical Engineer, no kids so the Q3 should have enough room for two and lots of road trip gear.
Looking for a fun mid-life, time to spoil ourselves, vehicle. Saving money right now and taking my time deciding on what that vehicle is going to be. The Q3 is in the lead right now even with the lack of an Audi dealer nearby.
