Cool. Did you come up with a wiring solution? I haven't quite gotten to that yet.Ok guys mine is complete pics coming asap
If you're still looking for a trailer hitch, I got mine from Hitchweb. They usually ship within the same day and I got mine in 1 business day with free shipping. They have a lot of selection for hitches, wiring and other accessories. I took the liberty of looking up your vehicle. Here is the link: Audi A3 Trailer HitchHi. I'm looking for a trailer hitch for the rear of my Q3, to tow a small boat trailer. Would rather not have to remove the entire rear bumper cover and bumper assembly. Does anyone know of a bolt on hitch that's made to fit the Q3? I'm not coming up with any useful information in my on-line searches so far. Thanks,
Steve in PA
Thanks Juan - this link works fine, but unfortunately the links within his blog do not. So to get the real details of his article, we need to search his references further, and I couldn't find any ...http://freeownerguide.blogspot.com/2013/04/audi-a3-trailer-light-wiring.html

Awesome. I assume that there will be some differences for the Q3 but this is a great write up. The Q3 cargo area side panels are easy enough to access so presumably a multimeter and a friend to help test and verify the brake and turn signal circuits is about all that's needed (other than the basic parts and hand tools). Thanks! Here is the DIY document, this one come from:

Yes, 36335, though I did not buy anything from uhaul other than the tow bar itself. It does bolt right up per the instructions with a couple of minor exceptions as I have noted earlier in the thread. Namely, you will need to cut the lower bumper trim, you will need an extra bolt, and it helps to remove the rear muffler bracket during installation.Hey,
Is this the trailer hitch you installed on your Q3. Do the tiquan instructions work perfectly for the Q3?

Good point. Though the instruction sheet PDF is a good likeness.I'd also note (as does the U-Haul site too) that the pic they show doesn't look ANYTHING like the right part (36335) which is as noted above made by Curt (12254).
Does anyone have a wiring diagram to confirm correct wire colors and locations on our Q3?Awesome. I assume that there will be some differences for the Q3 but this is a great write up.
