Hello. I just received my 2015 Q3 last week and have put just over 300 miles on it. This past Saturday night I drove it to Outback Steak House to pick up an to go order. It took about 10 minutes for the lady to bring the food out so I just sat there with the Q3 idling in park. Upon leaving when putting in reverse the shift handle moved easily but the transmission made a clunking noise that could be felt as well. After backing up and putting into drive the noise/feel happened again upon leaving reverse. Going into drive was fine. In drive it seemed to be sluggish taking off but thought I might not have given it enough gas. As I got on the main road and got to 55mph, I noticed the rpms were at 4200. It seemed to be stuck in a certain gear and it had probably been in that gear since putting it in drive after the noise. When I got out of traffic about 5 miles down the road, I pulled over, cut the q3 off, opened the door, shut the door, and re started engine. Upon putting it in gear all was normal so I chocked it up to something electronic vs the transmission. No check engine soon lights came on. I called the salesperson that sold me the vehicle and he had not heard of it and said I may have been a fluke but if it happened again, it probably needs to be looked at. There were no problems this week until today. My wife drove it home and drove up to the mail box to check the mail. She did not put it in park but rather just held the brake down. She had to put it in reverse to back up for the driveway and it did the same thing again as at Outback. And again when coming out of reverse going to drive. Also when in drive, it struggled somewhat going up the driveway not as if it were slipping but rather in a higher gear that needed more energy to get car to go. I have called to set up a service warranty. This is very disappointing to only have 300 miles on it. Does anyone out there have this issue?:crying:

Sorry no, I have had NO issues in 4 mos (1000 miles only) but it sounds like a transmission hydraulic pressure problem. Remember we have normal torque convertor box, so transmission pressure is an important thing, but I'm kinda surprised at this issue with a new car...please let us know what they find.

Taking it in Monday at 11:00am. I feel it is electronic because it has only done it a couple of times within the week and always going into or out of reverse. if we just put it in park and cut off then cut back on the problem continues but if we cut it off and open the door to reset everything and then restart everything goes back to normal. Very strange.

Took it to the shop today and I should have noticed what was going on based off the vw beetle I used to work on every weekend my daughter had. The noise and gears not shifting was because it was going into limp mode. The vag computer had detected it happened twice with the culprit being a pin connector that one of the pins was barely making a connection. They kept it overnight to replace the connector and do some test driving. I am to pick it up tomorrow at noon and hopefully it will be straight with no other problems.

Thanks for the update - perhaps we'll see a TSB about it if it's deemed possible to repeat on other cars...

Hope they get it straight - sounds like they can though.
