Hi all, I am not sure if this question has been asked (I searched and didn't see anything). I recently purchased a 2021 Q3. What happens with the radio is a little frustrating. I have all my stations in the Favorites area and really only scroll between those stations. When I shut the car of more more than 10-15 minutes, when I get back in the car, the radio comes on but is not in Favorites anymore it is on some random station in Sirius radio area. My favorites are a mix of Sirius, FM and AM stations. Very frustrating that I need to go into the radio and click over to Favorites all the time. I brought it in for this issue and the dealer gave me a loaner Q5, also a 2021. I set the radio up the exact same way and it always returned to the Favorites area when starting up. I had the loaner for two days. The service technician does not know why it happens. He checked another Q3 and said it behaves the same way. After shutting off for more than 10-15 minutes, the radio goes back to another area and does not stay in Favorites.

I asked why the Q5 works as it should and the Q3 does not restart in the Favorites area when it was shut off (and does not always go back to the same station in Sirius or anywhere else). He had no answer. It is literally the same exact software. Any thoughts?????

And it is not supposed to do it I am sure. Sometimes it stays on favorites, sometimes not. Does not matter if you are using car play or not when turning off car or you don't have phone plugged in. I also noticed once after starting that it spent a second on one of my favorite stations then switched to a random Sirius station. So this absolutely tells me there is a problem. The fact that it is irregular is a sign. If it was supposed to do it it would be all the time every time.

It is absolutely a software issue. It is something that needs to be fixed. Just curious, do your headlights look like they are off to the right at night?

Hi everyone. Bought the Q3 a couple of months ago and finally just got so fed up with this radio. Spent sometime back and forth with the sales person and this is what I was told. That the Audi Connect for the Q3 is different than the other models (too bad for us we bought their least expensive model) and that over there in Germany, they are working on a fix. They are aware of this problem. Hopefully, we will all be notified in a month or two when they figure out how to make us feel like we are driving a luxury car instead of a car from 1965! :)

Thanks for the update. I hope they have a fix soon.

If we had bought a higher priced Audi, I am sure there would have been a fix. Apparently, this is only an issue with their connect system for the Q3s.

I experience this with my 2021 Q3 as well. Its a little thing, but so annoying. I brought my car in For a recall today and asked about a fix for this radio issue. I was told that Audi issued a technical bulletin about it to say it’s a known issue but that they are not working on a fix! Huh?!
I am planning to contact Audi Canada.
