would a rim of 18x8.5 with an offset of 45-50 fit the Q3?
Thanks.

Hm... I think you may need a lower offset to run that to push them out a bit more to clean the extra width.

It may work, but I would maybe test fit first to see if you can ?

will do! thx!
I doubt that they will fit well : go here and check for yourself...

The standard wheel width & offset for the Q3 is 7" with an et of 43 (optionals are 8.5/36) : diameter doesn't affect width fitment - only tire size needed to keep similar ODs.

Your 8.5" wheel width with an et of 45 will REDUCE the inside clearance by 21mm AND EXTEND outward position by 17 mm - both compromising the brakes/suspension inside and looking right weird on the outside. Adding another 5 mm to the et worsens the INSIDE clearance but makes the extension outwards a bit better (but NOT enough to fit or look less than weird imho) ...
Maybe dropping a 25mm spacer on with the +50 offset dropping it down to +25 ?
Well that would fix the inside clearance issue, but now you'd have a clown car look on the outside with the wheels hanging out of the fenders by about 1-1/2 inches - would not only look Bizarro Willie, but would prolly wear out your wheel bearings in a few hundred miles ...
True.. I didn't think about that at all. Hm....
