Has anyone installed these. If yes which model were chosen.
I am leaning towards the OEM ones.

And eventually a bike rack.

Did consider a trailer hitch bike rack mount. Was my 1st consideration. Need a hitch 1st. Drove me crazy on trying to find one. I am north of 49th. Montreal.

Called U-Haul head office in Canada after reading the thread on the "hitch". No part # 36335 or any other viable one could be found.
Even called U-Haul in the states. I am 45 minutes away from the border. Status quo.
Called the dealership and no hitch is available in NA as of yet.

Attended a Bicycle show. No trailer hitch vendor could provide me with one.

Unfortunately I have no other option than to roof mount the bikes.

I think they have universal hitches these days that can be used, i'd be surprised if this is not the case.

Check the threads in this forum - there are SPECIFIC references, part numbers, prices and suppliers ...

As Audi Canada cannot supply a tow bar. I have tried Card. they say it also not available.
The only supply is from England as the q3 was available in 2011 but it could be with a different frame not the same as our Canadian 2015. I have also tried the Hitch Store.

The problem with u-haul is that the local stores and regular call center cannot do an inventory search beyond the local zip code level. Be persistent. Call u-haul and ask them for their national hitch support phone number. Then ask them to locate 36335, which is a discontinued Tiguan hitch. Once you get someone willing to search they should be able to find one of these somewhere. It is a perfect bolt on fit. See my original posts and pictures and good luck.

There is NO frame difference between cars in the the UK and NAR - as Pinballplanet noted even the Tiguan (which is the same platform as the Q3) hitch bolts right up...

My dealer said they wine be available in America until 2017. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

They are on ebay from an Audi dealer in Florida. They are $350+shipping
