Snow chain for 18"

Hi,

I will be going to places where there could be snow; my Q3 is FWD only and I am planning to carry snow chains. I checked online and got conflicting answers. Some link says to only put it in the connected wheel. Some say put in all.
Can any one please clear it up for me?

Also what chains will you recommend, one from Audi are super expensive.

You put the snow chains on the front wheels if the car is front wheel drive.

When it comes to using studded tires or studless snow tires, you want to put them on all four wheels.

Have fun in the snow! Just back from a winter wonderland of xcountry skiing here in Bend. Snowing and blowing like crazy.
