It's with a heavy heart (and broken sternum) that I must report that I'll be leaving the Q3 fold. An uninsured driver with a suspended license and prior citations pulled a left turn in front of Schrödinger and I as we passed through an intersection in Pittsburgh a few days back and, sadly, she's been declared a total loss. I walked away, so she did her job, but it's such a shame to see a car gone after only 22,999 miles.

Any advice on dealing with Audi Financial on closing out the lease? The insurance value is higher than the pay off (excellent condition and under miles) so my hope is that I'll get that difference to help get me into a new lease.

Regardless, I'm glad I got to be part of this forum and thank the many of you who've shared wisdom over the last few years!

ooooh, so sad - but at least you're safe ;-) As for dealing with Audi Financial, just talk with your dealer's Finance Manager and they should be able to process the whole thing. Since Audi leases include gap coverage, you should realize the upside indeed...

Thanks, Roger. I got hints settled with insurance and walked away with about $3000 in equity after the lease pay off. Most importantly, I walked away.

Yeah, that's a shame.. What do you think will you be buying next? I have currently Q3 leased at DSRLeasing and I don't think I will change soon, but I was thinking of getting a secondary car in next two years so I'm curious of what people may be switching to after q3.

Looks like you have been advertising DSRLeasing everytime on your responses. :)
