I’ve had my Q3 for two weeks now and am loving it! While doing my car purchase research I came across the spied photos of the camouflaged test model of the next generation Q3. It looks to me from the photos that the new model has less ground clearance and looks less “SUV” and more “hatchback”. The 2019 Q3 will switch to VW Group’s MQB platform (Modular Transverse Matrix), as opposed to the current PQ35 platform. For those tenured Q3 owners I’m curious of your thoughts on the new design. You can Google for photos of the spied car (I would post photos and links but as I am a new member the forum does not allow me to yet).

I have also seen the recently released pics of the heavy camouflaged 2019 Q3. Yes, it seems like a bit more square and lower than the current model. I like the shape of the new tail lights while I am not a big fan of the shape of the headlights (maybe because the test model did not have LED lights). The side curved lines looks more prominent like on the new Q5/SQ5.

I'm looking forward to test driving the 2019 Q3 and the 2019 Cadillac XT4. I joined the forum 3 1/2 years ago while doing research for a replacement vehicle.
I settled on a 2016 KIA Sorento SX 2.0 Turbo at the time and it has been a stellar vehicle in all respects. The allure of owning an Audi is still there so here I am again researching the new Q3. By all accounts it looks to be a winner.
