Two questions:
When I use the cruise control, the time is replaced by the cruise speed setting on the display. However, when I switch off the cruise control the time display does not return until the engine is switched off then back on. Is there any way I can have the time display without cycling the engine?

I have a 2016 Q3 without the GPS purchased here in the US. Is there a GPS that can be added to the MMI in this car?

Hmm...I will check mine tomorrow on a trip. I think it does but will verify.

I checked this on a 200 mile round trip today. The time did reappear when I turned off the cruise. Is that what you are asking?

john, yes that is what I am asking. If I turn off the cruise control while driving the clock does not reappear in the display until I turn off the engine then turn it back on. I'll check with the dealership to get their opinion. Thanks for the reply.

Before heading off to the dealer you may want to check if the cruise is actually turned completely off, not just disengaged.
Completely off is the lever pushed all the way forward where disengaged is more of a slight nudge...

Good point Joe. I was turning the cruise completely off.

Ok - if you push the lever so the cruise is "on" and then set the cruise speed the time is replaced by the set speed and the green 'cruise' If you deactivate the set speed the green 'cruise' turns off but the set speed remains displayed. If you push to lever to fully off, then the time reappears. Your is working as designed. I am guessing that the cruise speed stays displayed while the cruise is "on" is so you can easily see that speed and resume it when ready.
