It will close with the interior switch if you keep your foot on the brake and hold the switch up. I am not aware of any coding to close with the key fob.

is there a way to code the 2016 Q3 hatch to close with the remote or even the interior release lever?

I got my RT cable yesterday and have been digging around. Came across this section that should allow you to close the hatch with the remote but it says "security access required" when trying to save. Anyone have a security code for this section? It's in the "Installed 2" menu tab.

Close rear hatch with remote (key-Tap)
Ok, I found the security code and it works. Here are the codes to close the rear hatch with a single press instead of holding the button down on the remote. Tested on a 2016 Q3.
[6D - Trunk Elect.]
[security Access - 16] -> code: 12345
[Adaptation - 10]
(3)-Activation using rear lid opening button in remote key-Touch function for closing
not active
(4)-Activation using rear lid opening button in remote key-Tap function for closing
active
