Okay... Old subject for our new car... Voice recognition works great for the first 6 or so months then all of a sudden I could be talking jibberish. I ask it for a city in Massachusetts and it comes up in Alaska or Alabama... No the sunroof isn't open and the windows aren't open and the ac/heat fan is not blasting...

Sometimes the ONLY way I can get it to recognize the city,state is to say the city state first then give it the address. Pain in the butt...

Anyone have a similar problem and solution?

I'm thinking of doing the voice re-training to see if it helps. Not that my voice has changed

Yep, same problem.....but we've only had the car less than two months.

My wife tends to think the way to overcome the problem is to repeatedly swear at "that woman" that keeps sending us to Alabama or Alaska....
That still doesn't get us to the desired location, but it sure makes my wife feel better...>

Thanks for the tip about saying the city/state first.

That's pretty funny!!! You cannot believe how many times I've sworn at that lady too!!!! Wow you're having problems after two months, that stinks.

Yes, the city, state thing helps but it still takes me into BOston via Alaska!!!

Oh, don't get me wrong, I use voice commands at least 80% of the time.

The only time I don't is when it is just easier to make a reply or choice by hitting "enter" instead of making another voice command.

I use "online destination" almost exclusively, and find the Google data base is really quite good. No problems with the voice commands except when commanding an address and "she" has to run me down to Alabama before finally taking me Ashland, Oregon!.
