Just brought my car in for warranty service and FYI they told me there was an "Update" regarding the water pump. I haven't searched online for any info I will ask about it when I pick the car up tomorrow.
Anyone else hear anything?

What year is your car? I had service last Friday on a 2015 and they found no issues outstanding since the sunroof closing changes.

Car is a 2015. Don't know I was a little surprised about it too

Maybe give the audi recall site a try and see if anything pops up for your vin if you're still curious.

No I didn't. I forgot to ask the last time I brought it in.

This is NOT for the Q3 - but instead for older A3s. It has to do with an FRP housing that leaks. The Q3 engine has an aluminum housing - won't be applicable to us.

The 2.0T EA888 Gen-1 engine used in US Q3s has a plastic water pump/thermostat housing, which often cracks and leaks, or a squeeling bearing noise at idle.

I think there was an update "RVU" to the ECU programming of the operating logic of the electric afterrun water pump, which is controlled by the engine ECU.

It should be the noise from the squeeze of the engine casing or bearings
